Smokey Diva’s Bottling

Lorraine from Smokey Divas cooking BBQ at Downtown Pittsfield Farmers Market

Welcome to Smokey Diva’s Bottling, home of 92nd Sauce. If you’re looking to raise the bar on flavor and heat at your next barbecue give 92nd Sauce a try! 92nd Sauce is not for the timid. The flavor is incredibly rich, bold and smokey. It may be the boldest most smokey sauce you’ve ever tasted.

Founded in 1973, with a loan from her best friend and a week’s worth of credit from suppliers, our grandmother, Dorothy Turner Everett with the help of her nine children, opened the first Everett & Jones Barbecue restaurant on 92nd Avenue in Oakland California. Today, with four locations and a 5th in progress, Everett & Jones Barbecue is the longest running African American owned business in Oakland.

To compliment the meat our grandmother created her own signature sauce. Like our grandmother’s original sauce, 92nd Sauce comes in 3 different heat intensities (Mild, Medium and Hot).

Everett & Jones founder, Dorothy Turner Everett, sadly passed away in her home in 2007 doing what she loved most, cooking! Smokey Diva's have a strong commitment to preserving our grandmother’s legacy and are eager to share what Bay Area Californians have known for 43 years and counting!

Their success has been built upon a cornerstone of integrity and Smokey Diva's strive to establish and maintain long lasting relationships. Lorraine and Penny can be found at local farmer's market sharing their sauce, and recently opened a restaurant at 239 Onota Street in Pittsfield, MA.
